LESSONS
Do I need a license?
All works in the Hacker Highschool project are provided for non-commercial
use with elementary school students, junior high school students, and high
school students whether in a public institution, private institution, or a
part of home-schooling. These materials may not be reproduced for sale in
any form. The provision of any security awareness program, class, course,
training, or camp with these materials for which a fee is charged is
expressly forbidden without a license including college classes, university
classes, trade-school classes, summer or computer camps, company in-house
courses, and similar.
HHS certified teachers receive a 6-month license with their certification.
For schools
(elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools):
License-free use of the lessons and access to the HHS lab network for
performing workbook exercises is provided. Contact
HHS for more details.
For individual teaching HHS classes, outside of a school: You may
obtain a license for use of the lessons by clicking on the link below. You
will also be provided access to the HHS lab network for performing workbook
exercises with a paid license.
For personal use: License-free use of the lessons is permitted.
Access to the HHS lab network is not available for security reasons.
The HHS Project is an open community effort and if you find value in this
project, we do ask you support us through the purchase of a license, a
donation, or sponsorship.
What is a license?
A license is your way of
supporting this project and getting it into
other schools around the world. A license is valid for 1 year and provides you
with the right to t
each or offer the HHS project commercially (for profit).
This applies only to instruction and does not include the printing and
selling of HHS
lessons. A license allows you to print and hand-out copies of the
lessons
for classroom use. A
license provides you
with access to the HHS
lab network for performing workbook exercises.
You are responsible for your license and your access to the HHS lab network
and it may not be sold or transferred to any other person or organization.
Abuse of the HHS lab network will result in your loss of license and access
as well as any specific damages. For this reason, we highly recommend you do
not even "loan" your credentials to other parties.
How much does it cost?
A license is valid for 1
year and costs 140USD.
